On the 5th of April, more than two dozen parents participated in the 1st Course in Basic Life Support for Parents held at the HPA.
Four Instructors taught parents the various steps and strategies for basic life support and resuscitation of babies and infants.
Parents also had the opportunity to practice all the techniques on models specially adapted to the various situations.
The final evaluation given by the trainees to the various topics of the course: content, training methodology, instructor’s competence, logistics and equipment, all received excellent scores .
A 2nd Course on Basic Life Support is being planned for October. A First Aid Course for parents is also being planned.
